Project Description
This Perthshire client had an old and increasingly dangerous looking dry stone retaining wall at the front of his property. He asked me to rebuild and add a grand set of steps.
The original stone was repurposed with some extra stone brought in from a neighbouring farm for use in the wall and as cope stones. The big challenge was working some at times very poor stone – a lot of it was very weathered and frost-shattered. However, with a bit of effort and perserverence we made it work.
Marting Tyler and his team from Dry Stone Walling Perthshire spent a couple of days helping to dismantle the old wall, set the foundations and move some stone.
You can see more examples of garden landscaping works on the projects page.
