Project Description
I was blown away by the view when I came to see this job. Situated as close as you can get to underneath the Forth Road bridge, I had a grandstand view of the construction of the new road bridge.
In between watching the new bridge go up and keeping an eye on the river traffic, I also built a dry stone seating area with a firepit and a staircase giving access to the upper section of the garden. The stone was formerly a farm courtyard – the whinstone was very hard, very heavy and required a lot of chiseling with carbide tools to shape it.
